It has been dubbed “Hell Week” on The Block, where contestants are tasked with completing hallways, the laundry, and a powder room. Racing against the clock, the Blockheads were working at full tilt to have their rooms finished before the reveal. But with unfinished rooms and plenty of drama along the way, Hell Week once again lived up to its name.
When judgement time came, there were two standout houses but only one winner, with Kirsty and Jesse taking the win by a mere half-point. Their homely and inviting hallway was described by judges as, “perfectly contemporary Hamptons”. By fashioning their Hamptons-style exterior into a beautifully finished hallway, Kirsty and Jesse created the perfect gateway into the rest of the home.
Moving on to the powder room, judges were amazed to find a full bathroom instead. The chic styling stayed consistent with the other areas of the home, with the cloud-like tiles and gold accents exuding a sense of luxury. Finally, the laundry focused on functionality, but without sacrificing aesthetics. The ample storage was perfectly concealed within blue and gold cabinetry, with the large benchtop and sink a welcome addition.
Prioritising functionality, Kirsty and Jesse installed Bradford SoundScreen acoustic insulation to ensure harmonious living. Fitted into the internal walls of the home, SoundScreen is vital to minimising noise transfer between rooms, effectively reducing loud noises to a whisper and keeping the home peaceful and quiet.
