It was backyards on The Block this week, which proved to be one of the closest contests yet. While the size of each team’s backyard varied, the importance of winning was the same. With only a few weeks left in this season, tensions soared as auction day inched closer.
When judgement time came, every team bar Tanya and Vito received high praise and nearly perfect scores, which led to Kirsty and Jesse playing their bonus point Gnome to win by 1.5 points!
At 351m2, Kirsty and Jesse’s backyard was the largest, and they had a big task to finish on time. But they also had room to make a truly great yard and impress the judges.
So much so that the judges were left speechless as they walked through the giant double doors of the living and dining area, out onto a gorgeous deck/pergola area.
Their entertainer’s paradise wowed judges, who described it as, “lifestyle on a platter”. Its huge pavilion deck boasted a BBQ, pizza oven, and mini bar. The remainder of the backyard continued the entertainer’s dream with a pool and firepit with lush garden and pot plants.
With their home fitted with Bradford Enviroseal wall wrap, Jesse and Kirsty didn’t have to worry about water damage to the internals and building structure of their home while waiting for their exterior cladding to be installed. As Enviroseal is fitted like a second skin, the home is protected against weather before walls are installed, which allowed them and their team of tradies to commence internal work sooner.
The high vapour permeability of Enviroseal also enables moisture to escape the inside of the home. This reduces the risk of wall stains, decay, and mould growth and creates a healthier home.
